On Thursday, 12th January 2023 the Nigeria Immigration Service announced the recruitment into the Nigeria Immigration Service for 2023.
The paramilitary Service made the announcement expectedly through the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).
TWO WEEKS EXERCISE
The NIS authorities stated that the recruitment exercise will last for two weeks from the date of commencement. Please note that Thursday, 12th January 2023 is the commencement date.
HOW TO APPLY FOR THE NIGERIA IMMIGRATION SERVICE RECRUITMENT EXERCISE
The first step is to visit the NIS website and go through it comprehensively. If you digest it carefully and follow this write-up, it is something you can do personally without the need for an agent.

Please note that all applications shall be done online. You are expected to log on to the portal: https//edcfib.career to fill out and submit the application form. You are advised to print out the Referee Form which must be duly completed for submission during the screening exercise.

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION
All applications must be submitted online within Two weeks from the date of publication.
STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS FOR REQUIREMENT
1. Applicants must be Nigerian by birth, 2. Must have a National Identity Number. 3. Applicants must be holders of the requisite qualifications and certificates. 4, Applicants must be fit and present certificates of medical fitness from a Government Recognised Hospital. 5. Applicants must be of good character and must not have been convicted of any criminal offenses. 6. Be required to pass a drug test. 7. Applicants must not be financially embarrassed. 8. Applicants must be between the ages 18 and 30 years with exception of Doctors and Pharmacists who must not be more than 35 years. 9. Applicants’ height must not be less than 1.65m for males and 1.60m for females. 10 Applicants’ chest measurements must not be less than 0.87 for men. 11. Computer literacy will be of added advantage. 12. Please note that any certificates or qualifications not declared and accepted during documentation, shall not be accepted after the recruitment.
COMPUTER-BASED TEST (CBT)
There shall be a computer-based test for shortlisted candidates. Appreciate time and date shall be communicated to such person.
CLOSING DATE

POSITIONS AVAILABLE
1. CATEGORY A SUPERINTENDENT CADRE
a) Assistant Superintendent of Immigration II (ASI-2) General Duty, Grade level 08.
Qualifications: Applicants must have a minimum of a first degree from a recognized institution of higher education. Presentation of the NYSC Discharge certificate is mandatory.
b) Deputy Superintendent of Immigration (DSI) Grade level 10
Professionals (Pharmacist). Applicants must have a minimum of the first degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution of higher education and an NYSC Discharge certificate.
c) Superintendent of Immigration (SI) Grade level 11.
Professional (Doctors) Applicants must have a minimum of the first degree (MBBS) from a recognized institution of higher education and an NYSC Discharge certificate.
2. CATEGORY B INSPECTORATE CADRE
Assistant Inspector of Immigration (AII), General Duty. COMPASS 06. Applicants must be a holder of a National Diploma (ND), (NCE)or ADVANCED NABTEB obtained from recognized institutions.
3. CATEGORY C IMMIGRATION ASSISTANT CADRE:
a) Immigration Assistant III (IA-3) Grade level 3 General Duty
Qualifications: SSCE/NECO/GCE Ordinary level, with at least 4 credits in not more than 2 sittings, it must include English and Mathematics
b) Immigration Assistant III (IA-3) Artisans and Drivers/Mechanics
Qualifications: SSCE/NECO/GCE ordinary level, or its equivalent Trade Test Certificates.
