HOW TO APPLY FOR ITALY VISA IN NIGERIA

  1. The first step is to download the visa application form online by visiting: www.italy-ng.com
  2. Carefully fill in your particulars online and print out the hard copy
  3. State clearly in the declaration your reasons for choosing Italy.
  4. After completing the form append your signature and date the application form.

Attach the following documents:

  • 1. Your International passport with six months validity and unused visa pages.
  • 2. Two recently taken passport-sized photographs with white background.
  • 3. Photocopy of the data page of your passport.
  • 4. Your bank account statement for the last 3 months.
  • 5. Travel health insurance, with a minimum coverage of € 30,000 from a reputable insurance company in Nigeria, covering all Schengen areas.
  • 6. Photocopies of all the previous visas in your passport.
  • 7. An employee going on holiday must have the following documents in addition:
    • 1. Letter of introduction from his employer.
    • 2. Tax clearance certificate
    • 3. Last payslips.
    • 4. An identity card issued by his company.
  • 8. An applicant travelling on invitation must produce the following documents:
    • 1. A letter of invitation from the person inviting him, duly signed by the person, indicating your relationship and state how long you are to stay with and if he is ready to bear your financial responsibility.
    • 2. He must send a copy of his identity card or the data page of his passport.
  • 9. An underage child travelling unaccompanied or with a parent. The Guardian is expected to:
    • 1. Singed the visa application form.
    • 2. Produce the child’s birth certificate.

    • 3. A written report from your doctor in Nigeria stating the reason for urgent medical treatment in Italy.
    • 4. Evidence of advanced payment for the treatment, accommodation and additional insurance coverage
  • 11. Additional requirements for a business visa.
    • 1. An original letter of invitation from your business partner in Italy. The letter must come with the company’s letter headed paper, stating the purpose of the visit and how long the applicant is to stay in Italy.
    • 2. It must include a copy of the company’s certificate of incorporation.
    • 3. Evidence of previous business dealings with the Italian company.
    • 4. The applicant tax clearance certificate.
    • 5. The company bank account statement for the last 6 months duly endorsed by the Bank.
    • 6. If your partner is responsible for your accommodation, evidence of this must be provided.
  • 12. Additional requirements for applicants going for studies or research
    • 1. Original copy of acceptance letter from the university in Italy.
    • 2. Evidence of payment of school fees.
    • 3. All the documents used in processing the admission.
    • 4. Letter of sponsorship from your parent or guardian.
    • 5. Sponsor’s bank account statement for the last 6 months
    • 6. Other documents may be required by the embassy.
  • 13. Additional requirements for applicants travelling for religious reasons:
    • 1. For applicants travelling for religious activities make a separate declaration to the Italian Embassy embassy about your desire to go the Vatican City on the holy pilgrimage.
    • 2. Obtain an approval or letter of introduction from a pastor or an ordained church official.
    • 3. Any other documents may be required by the embassy.
    • 4. Be prepared to attend an interview.

 

STILL HOW TO APPLY FOR ITALY VISA IN NIGERIA

After the collation of all the required documents please note the following points.

  1. Ensure that the visa application form is duly signed and dated by you
  2. Ensure you submit all the required documents personally.
  3. Pay the visa processing fee at the Italy visa application centre.
  4. Submit yourself for a biometric fingerprint at the visa application centre.
  5. Note that all applicants for a visa must get set for an interview.
  6. Submit your application well ahead of time to allow the embassy to complete the visa processing.
  7. Ensure that all the documents you’re submitting must come with a set of photocopies,  with exception of the Bank statement of account.
