The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) stated in Katsina on Thursday, 2nd September 2021, that the Nigeria Police will start recruiting 20,000 Police officers men and women in due course.

That it is a directive from Nigeria President that Police should recruit 10,000 for 2020 and 10,000 for 2021 and the recruit shall be posted to their local government for effective crime-fighting.
