The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) stated in Katsina on Thursday, 2nd September 2021, that the Nigeria Police will start recruiting 20,000 Police officers men and women in due course.

The recruitment will take place soon and it will cut across the 774 local government areas of the Federation. He explained further that the recruitment exercise that was stopped for a while will soon resume and the Police authorities are ready to recruit from all the local government areas.

That it is a directive from Nigeria President that Police should recruit 10,000 for 2020 and 10,000 for 2021 and the recruit shall be posted to their local government for effective crime-fighting.
