Travel By Train In Nigeria (the Best Way To Travel)

Have you been afraid of travel by road within Nigeria for many obvious reasons? Have you spent insanely 6 to 11 hours traveling between Lagos to the City of Ibadan by car or bus car? A journey of 90 kilometers is supposed to be nothing more than one and a half hours at most. Do you want to avoid being robbed inside a vehicle due to a crazy traffic hold-up? Do you want to avoid vehicles breaking down due to bad roads oftentimes? Finally, do you want a highly comfortable and very affordable price, modern means of reaching your destination? The answer is now here for you; travel by the Nigeria Railway Corporation train. Enter, relax, and enjoy snacks and drinks, you may top it up by sleeping because the Air conditioner is there to relax you. When you’re awake you may take a walk to visit a clean restroom.

The biggest wonder I experienced along the way was the fact that I thought the train was moving slowly when you view outside, contrarily it was moving very fast,  but I could not feel it, however, when we arrived at Agege from Abeokuta within one hour fifteen minutes, I dove my hat.

COME WITH YOUR CASH

Issuing tickets by cash is an embarrassing and outdated system

Recently, when I traveled for the first time using the Nigerian train from Abeokuta to Lagos, when I went to the ticket counters to purchase the ticket, I couldn’t believe it and I was astonished and taken aback when I  was asked to pay cash.  What!!! I said. having returned from the United Kingdom just about two months before the incident, where 95 percent of my total travel was by their train system, I thought it was a joke. Issuing tickets paying raw cash in an automated age and a modern train. It really diminished all the positive things I wanted to report about these highly commendable projects, first in the transportation sector in Nigeria.

Whoever planned and executed the payment by cash surely is a fraudulent individual, nothing to add. I hope the new Government will quickly change the backward procedure, otherwise, it will not be surprised if the Nigeria Railway Corporation is unable to manage or maintain the beautiful or laudable new Train system in due course. Very unfortunate.

That’s all for now on Travel by Train in Nigeria (the best way to travel)
